Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball Unveils Thrilling Nonconference Schedule
The 2024-25 season for the Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team was marked by contrasting views. Despite a disappointing 14-21 record and a challenging 13-game losing streak in Big 12 play, the team was in a rebuilding phase, having lost key players to the NBA and transfers. The return to a competitive Big 12, featuring seven teams from the previous NCAA Tournament, added to the challenge.
On Wednesday, Coach Tad Boyle announced an exciting nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season. Last year, the Buffaloes excelled in nonconference games, finishing 12-2, with losses to Iowa State and Michigan State. The upcoming season includes a mix of emerging teams and traditional rivals, with ten of the fourteen games held at home. The season kicks off with a preseason game against Grace College on October 19, followed by a regular season opener against the Montana Bobcats on November 3. Notable matchups include a showdown against the Colorado State Rams on December 6 and a game against Stanford in the Naismith Hall of Fame Series on December 20. The Buffaloes aim to build on their nonconference success and improve their standing in the Big 12.
